RUSTON – Louisiana Tech Athletics Director Tommy McClelland announced today that the Bulldogs season opener Sept. 2 against Northwestern State and its Sept. 30 home game vs. South Alabama will both be carried on ESPN3 and televised locally on in Monroe (CW Channel 12), in Shreveport (KPXJ CW 21) and in Alexandria (KBCA CW 41).

ESPN3 will be blacked out in all three those markets while each of the three stations will stream them through their on-line platform. The addition of these two games means all seven of the Bulldogs home games this year will be shown live on either television, Facebook Live and/or ESPN3.

“We are committed to the University’s vision of growing the enrollment to 15,000 by 2020,” said Tech Athletics Director Tommy McClelland. “Athletics serves as an important marketing tool and platform for the University to showcase itself and the addition of these two games on ESPN3 and our local TV partners provides this opportunity. Not only do we have a record number of home games this year, but now all seven of them will be shown nationally.”

In addition to these two games, Tech will have home games carried on CBS Sports Network (Sept. 9 vs. Mississippi State), Stadium (Oct. 21 vs. Southern Miss, Nov. 4 vs. North Texas, Nov. 11 vs. Florida Atlantic) and the ESPN Network (Nov. 25 vs. UTSA). Tech’s Nov. 4 homecoming game vs. North Texas will be carried on Stadium’s Facebook Live platform.

Head coach Skip Holtz and Co. are coming off three straight years of nine wins and bowl victories, making Louisiana Tech one of only four FBS programs in the country to win at least nine games and its bowl contest each of the last three seasons (Clemson, Wisconsin, Utah). Tech has advanced to the Conference USA title game two of the last three years.

Season and single game tickets are on sale and can be purchased by calling 318-257-3631 or logging onto LATechSports.com. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance for both the Northwestern State and Mississippi State games as a sellout is possible for each contest.
