Delgado sweeps Coastal Alabama North in Saturday’s basketball twinbill

Delgado hosted Coastal Alabama North Saturday in a pair of non-conference basketball matchups in the Michael Williamson Center.

In the Women’s game, the Lady Dolphins led throughout, carrying a 48-19 lead at the half before a commanding 74-45 victory. Skylar Davis led the Dolphins with 17 points. JaLearia Hill had 13 points and five field goals. Korriana Reynaud had 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 defensive rebounds.

The Delgado Men (2-3) enjoyed a similar fate with their 86-65 win over the Eagles. Tylor Harris and Jalvin Mitchell each had 20 points. Mitchell had five blocks and five rebounds. Kurt Labeaud had 17 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, and three steals to lead the Delgado defense.

Both teams return to action Monday, the Women hosting Pearl River at 5:30 and the men hosting Coastal Alabama South at 7:30 in the Williamson Center.
