Delgado beeats Holmes in NJCAA women’s postseason

Delgado Women’s Basketball defeated Holmes Community College 63-50 Friday night in the Williamson Center in the first round of the NJCAA Region XXIII playoffs.

The Lady Dolphins led throughout the game, 35-23 at halftime before pulling away in the fourth period for the eventual 63-50 win. Dalyn Belvin led with 21 points, Korriana Reynaud had 18. Skylar Davis had 11 rebounds.

With the win, Delgado will travel to Eunice Monday for a 5:30 game against LSU-Eunice.

The Delgado Men advanced as a result of a no-contest and will face Pearl River Monday in Poplarville.
