NEW ORLEANS – DeArica Pryor added to her list of postseason awards in her final collegiate year as she earned Second Team All-Louisiana. The teams were announced by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association on Wednesday morning.

Pryor earned two Southland Player of the Week awards this season, one of three student-athletes to accomplish that. She also finished her career by becoming the 18th in program history to surpass 1,000 career points at New Orleans.

The Urbandale, Iowa native averaged 14.4 points, 4.9 rebounds 2.0 assists and 1.9 steals per game. She played in 28 games and averaged 33.6 minutes per game. Pryor was fourth in the Southland in points and steals per game.

She also had her best season from long range. Pryor connected on 40.7 percent of her three-point attempts which was second best in the Southland this season. Her 48 made three-pointers were tied for fifth in the conference.

Pryor also made a habit of forcing opponents into turnovers. She accrued 130 steals over her last two seasons and made the All-Defensive Team in 2022-23 after leading the Southland Conference in steals.

Pryor has made the All-Louisiana team for the second consecutive season after she earned Second Team honors following the 2022-23 season.

LSU won Player of the Year (Angel Reese), Newcomer of the Year (Aneesah Morrow) and Freshman of the Year (Mikaylah Williams). LSU-Shreveport’s Kyle Blankenship won Coach of the Year.
