Chase Fourcade

The newly-formed Louisiana Voodoo franchise in Arena Football announced on social media Tuesday the signing of quarterback Chase Fourcade.

The Archbishop Rummel alum who played for a pair of Division I state title teams was also a four-year starter at Nicholls from 2016-2019. Fourcade was named Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Year twice before leaving Nicholls as the school’s all-time leader in passing yards, passing touchdowns, completion percentage, total yards, rushing touchdowns and total touchdowns responsible.

Fourcade has played professionally for the USFL’s Pittsburgh Maulers and the CFL’s Calgary Stampeders. His uncle John Fourcade played for Archbishop Shaw, Ole Miss and several professional football teams including the New Orleans Saints.

The new Voodoo is located in Lake Charles.
