PENSACOLA, Fla. – Louisiana junior forward Jordan Brown has been named the Lou Henson Award National Player of the Week, recognizing the nation’s Mid-Major Player of the Week.

Brown, who on Monday was chosen as the Sun Belt Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, averaged 26 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game last week in a pair of wins against Arkansas State and South Alabama to close the regular season. He shot 67.7 percent (21-of-31) from the field during the two-game stretch.

Brown is a 2023 First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference selection.

The Lou Henson Award, which is presented annually to the top mid-major player in NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball, honors the former Illinois and New Mexico State head coach, who won 775 games in 41 seasons.
