Brackets set for 2024 CUSA Basketball Championships

RUSTON – The regular season came to an end on Saturday the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and Lady Techsters and with that the brackets were set for both the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Conference USA Championships to be played at the VBC Propst Arena in Huntsville, Alabama.

The Bulldogs earned the No. 2 seed and will take on the No. 7 seed Middle Tennessee on Wednesday, March 13 at 8 p.m. CT. The ‘Dogs swept both games against the Blue Raiders including an 84-70 victory in Ruston in the regular season finale.

Meanwhile, the Lady Techsters earned the No. 4 seed and will battle the No. 5 seed Jacksonville State on Thursday, March 14 at 11:30 a.m. CT. The Techsters defeated the Gamecocks twice this season.

Both quarterfinal matchups will be broadcast on ESPN+.

After spending the last six seasons in Frisco, Texas at the Ford Center at The Star, Huntsville will be the ninth location to host the CUSA Men’s Basketball Championship and the 14th host city for the CUSA Women’s Basketball Championship.

Both championships have been held in Alabama previously, from 2015-17, in Birmingham at Legacy Arena (men’s and women’s) and Bartow Arena for the women’s championship in 1996.
