New Orleans Crawdaddys

The New Orleans Baby Cakes are teaming with IFC to present “Brockmire Night” at the Shrine on Tuesday, May 1, and as part of the festivities, the ‘Cakes will transform into the New Orleans CrawDaddy’s from the hit show.

The team will wear CrawDaddy’s jerseys during the 7 p.m. game against the Round Rock Express, and fans can bid for their favorite players’ jerseys in an online auction which will run through June 15. The jerseys can only be purchased online, and all proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society New Orleans.

Crawdaddy’s merchandise, including shirts and tank tops, will also be on sale for preorder via the Baby Cakes’ website (www.cakesbaseball.com/shop). All limited edition items are expected to be in stock on May 1.

“Brockmire” stars Hank Azaria as Jim Brockmire, a troubled broadcaster who took a job as the play-by-play voice of the fictional New Orleans CrawDaddy’s at the end of the show’s first season. The season two premiere airs on IFC on Wednesday, April 25 at 9 p.m.
