HAMMOND, La. – Guard Kaili Chamberlin will continue her academic and athletic endeavors as a member of Southeastern Louisiana University women’s basketball program, SLU head coach Ayla Guzzardo announced Wednesday morning.

Chamberlin, a 5-9 shooting guard from Medford, Oregon, comes to Hammond with one year of eligibility left. Chamberlin is the sixth member of the 2024-25 Southeastern women’s basketball signing class. SLU previously inked Mo’Nique Jospeh (6-1, F, Lake Worth, Florida, King’s Academy), Ja’Sharreah Hunt (5-7, G, Roxie, Mississippi, Franklin County High School), TyReona Sibley (5-8, G, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Central High School), Brittany Burton (6-3, C, Monroe, Louisiana, Wossman High School) and Jaslynn Walter (5-10, G, Nashville, Tennessee, East Nashville Magnet High School).

The senior is no stranger to the Southland Conference, as she spent two seasons at league member McNeese, playing in 59 games making 52 starts. Chamberlin averaged 9.7 points and 4.1 rebounds for the Cowgirls, and was named Freshman of the Year in 2021-22. Chamberlin spent a short time at Austin Peay averaging 4.5 points before coming to Hammond, America.

“Kaili is someone special to our program. She will better us on and off the floor,” Guzzardo commented. “She’s a phenomenal shooter who is capable of putting the ball on the deck and defending at a high level. We are excited for her to join our family and we know our Hammond community will welcome her with open arms.”

Chamberlin, Joseph, Hunt, Sibley, Burton and Walter join a 2024-25 roster that will feature nine returning letter winners.
