The second playoff step for either the Saints or Panthers is now crystal clear.

The Falcons, last season’s NFC champions, won on the road in Los Angeles against the NFC West champion Rams, 26-13. As a result, the sixth seed Atlanta will play next week at top-seeded Philadelphia in the divisional round next Saturday.

The winner of Sunday’s Saints-Panthers matchup will travel to Minneapolis to face the second-seeded Vikings at 3:40 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14.

U.S. Bank Stadium is the home of the Vikings where the Saints lost their season opener, 29-19. The two-year old facility is also the site of this year’s Super Bowl.
