NEW ORLEANS – Crescent City Sports’ live streaming coverage of high school sports continues Thursday with coverage of the District 9-5A track and field championship from Tad Gormley Stadium.

Coverage will begin just prior to the start of running events at 5:30 p.m. CCS’ Lenny Vangilder and Newman head coach Mark Faliveno will describe the action.

This is the second straight year CCS is providing coverage of the Catholic League meet.

Last year, Jesuit built a lead in the field and distance events to hold off John Curtis for the boys title, while Mount Carmel posted a convincing victory over Edna Karr for the girls crown.

The Crescent City Sports team is in its 13th season of producing live broadcasts for television and internet, having produced nearly 500 live streams since 2012, and is continuing its extensive commitment to prep sports coverage on its website for 2023-24. All written and video content on CCS is always free and does not require a subscription.
