XULA hires Ashley Cordeiro as women’s soccer head coach

NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana announced Wednesday the hiring of Ashley Cordeiro as women’s soccer head coach.

Cordeiro coached the women of Pratt (Kan.) Community College to a 23-5-3 (.790) record the past two seasons and, in 2022, the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Region VI championship and a No. 14 national ranking.

The debut season of XULA women’s soccer will be 2023. The Gold Nuggets will compete for honors in the Red River Athletic Conference and the NAIA.
