Wright scores four TDs in West Monroe romp over Wossman

Running back Cameron Wright rushed for 120 yards and four touchdowns Friday night as the West Monroe Rebels defeated the Wossman Wildcats, 56-14.

West Monroe (3-0) used steady doses of Wright and quarterback Garrett Kahmann (96 yards rushing) to wear down the Wildcats.

Wossman scored one touchdown on offense and another late on a fumble return of 40 yards for a score

West Monroe drove inside the Wossman 10-yard line on the game’s opening drive yet fumbled to Wossman.

The Rebel defense held, and Wright took over to help West Monroe build a 28-6 halftime lead.

Michael Hamburg also had a big night with a rushing touchdown and over 200 yards in punt return yards for the Rebels.

West Monroe hosts defending Class 4A Mississippi state champion Nouxabee County next Friday at 7 p.m
