Holy Cross went to Lafayette and scored a convincing victory in the annual Jacob McMillan Invitational.

The Tigers claimed six individual titles in the 14 weight classes to easily outdistance defending Division II state champion Teurlings Catholic. Sulphur was third with Basile fourth and Comeaux fifth.

Winners for the Tigers included Brandon Gainey (106), Evan Frost (113), Jacob Frost (120), Charles Sauerwin III (132), Caruso Signorelli (138) and Cameron Doyle (145).

In Tri-Meet action, De La Salle downed Archbishop Hannan 30-24.

Each team won five of the 10 matches contested with De La Salle scoring the win based on a forfeit victory and scoring three falls in its wins compared to two for the Hawks.

Winning by fall for the Cavaliers were Jason Schexnaildre (120), Zachary Lauland (138) and Jason Krail (160).

Archbishop Hannan split the day, downing Brusly 42-30.

The Hawks claimed six wins in the matches contested.
