Wrestling: Brother Martin takes duals with Belle Chasse, Fontainebleau

It was another productive evening on the mat Tuesday for defending Division I wrestling state champion Brother Martin.

The Crusaders won a pair of duals, defeating Belle Chasse and downing Fontainebleau 63-14.

Dipping into its vast depth, Brother Martin wrestled a number of reserves.

In the win over Belle Chasse, the Crusaders won seven of the 12 matches contested.

Winning by fall for Brother Martin were Noah Confident (113), Quinn McDermott (120), Salvatore Caserta (132), Jake Allelo (152), Caleb Nativadad (190), Evan Huling (220) and Ethan Simmons (285).).

Scoring pins for the Cardinals were Brennan Burt (126) and Caleb Andrews (138).

Brother Martin downed Fontainebleau 63-14.

The Crusaders won eight of the 11 matches contested.

Scoring pins for the Crusaders were McDermott, Caserta, Jacob Brupbacher (138), Braden Hite (145), Allelo, Evan Burke (182) and Natividad.

Winning by fall for the Bulldogs was Aiden Lindsey (160).

Fontainebleau downed Belle Chasse 48-30.

The Bulldogs won seven of the 11 matches contested.

Winning by pin for Fontainebleau were Cole Poore (106), Samuel Favaza (113), Braden Sellers (120), Asher Wilson (126), Logan Aguilar (132), Lindsey and Titus Aicard (220).

Scoring falls for the Cardinals were Andrews, Riley Williams (145), Warren Desierto (152) and David Ransom (195).
