Wrestling: Brother Martin takes dual over St. Thomas More
The Brother Martin Crusaders were back on the mat Wednesday night in a dual meet against St. Thomas More.
The Crusaders delivered as expected but once again captured a team win using their reserve wrestlers, 60-15. Brother Martin won by fall six times – Salvatore Caserta (132), Jacob Brupbacher (138), Braden Hite (145), Wyatt Huling (160), Caleb Natividad (195) and Ethan Simmons (285).
The season is also inching closer to the state championship in February. This weekend, the Crusader team will challenge themselves once again out of state in what can be considered an opportunity of a lifetime at the MidCals Classic this Friday and Saturday in Gilroy, California.
Once they return home, Brother Martin will be back on the mats Wednesday for a highly-anticipated dual meet at home with the top ranked Jesuit Blue Jays. The outcome of the matchup Wednesday will most likely determine who will be favored to win the Division I title at the end of the season in Bossier City.
The Jesuit-Brother Martin dual will be streamed live by Crescent City Sports.
