Wrestling: Brother Martin beats Jesuit; Chalmette, Shaw, Hannan victorious

Wrestling Report for Thursday, Jan. 10

Brother Martin rolled past Jesuit 41-19 in a key dual meet Wednesday evening at Bob Conlin Gymnasium.

The Crusaders and Blue Jays each won six matches but Brother Martin had a couple of forfeit victories as well. The Crusaders had most starters entered but had a few reserves participating as well while Jesuit was without star Perry Ganci.

Winning by pin for Brother Martin were Ethan Castex (113), Alex Duncan (138) and Kyle West (220).

The Chalmette Owls posted a pair of wins, defeating Grace King and Haynes in easy fashion.

Archbishop Shaw fought off Belle Chasse 48-33 and Archbishop Hannan handled St. Michael the Archangel 66-18.
