Wrestling: Basile wins DIII Duals with John Curtis finishing second

Defending Division III state champion Basile captured the Division III Wrestling Duals at John Curtis Christian that concluded Saturday.

The Bearcats downed Thomas Jefferson 66-5, beat Church Point 54-22, handled Evangel Christian 64-6 and downed host John Curtis 52-27 in the championship match Saturday.

The Patriots claimed second, beating Evangel 48-28, edging Church Point 42-39 and defeating Thomas Jefferson 60-6.
