Williams scores 35 to power LSU past Wake Forest, 72-70

ATLANTA, GA. – LSU Men’s basketball defeated Wake Forest, 72-70, on Saturday afternoon at Holiday Hoopsgiving after Justice Hill made the go-ahead layup with two seconds left on the clock in the State Farm Arena.

The Tigers will be back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m. CT in the PMAC against NC Central on SEC Network.

KJ Williams lead the team in scoring and rebounding, finishing with 35 points and 10 rebounds as he recorded his 30th career double-double. It was also his career-high for points in a Tiger uniform.

Cam Hayes added 13 points, five rebounds and six assists, which was tied for the team-high in that category with Justice Hill.

Wake Forest’s Tyree Appleby had 26 points and six assists to lead the team. Cameron Hildreth added 12 points, eight rebounds and four assists for the Deacons.
