West St. John downs Lusher behind Gaudia’s big night

It was the D’Andre Gaudia Show in Uptown New Orleans Thursday night.

Gaudia accounted for 40 points, passing for five touchdowns and for five two-point conversions as West St. John handled Lusher Charter 52-20 at Brees Family Field.

The Rams jumped out to a 22-0 lead after one quarter and built the lead to 46-0 in the third quarter and coasted to victory.

Gaudia completed 16-of-25 passes for 342 yards and the five scores with one interception and he ran twice for 22 yards.

Kae’Jean Kendrick caught five passes for 127 yards and two scores for the Rams (2-1). Dakyri Jackson rushed 15 times for 142 yards and two touchdowns.

Per usual, Miles Stewart paced the Lions (1-2). Stewart rushed 17 times for 160 yards and two touchdowns and caught three passes for 32 yards. Christopher Haylock completed a five-yard touchdown pass to Seth Hunter to account for the final score for the Lions.

Both teams travel next week as West St. John faces Plaquemine next Friday night while Lusher travels to Baton Rouge to take on Capitol Thursday night.
