West Monroe’s Wright powers win over Neville, 29-14

West Monroe running back Cam Wright rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Rebels (No. 2 in Class 5A) past Neville (No. 7 in 4A), 29-14.

Neville pulled within 22-14 on a 4th down touchdown pass before the Rebels marched down the field to put the game out of reach in the final two minutes.

Kahmann rushed for 34 yards to set up a short touchdown run that separated the teams.

West Monroe jumped out to a 13-0 first quarter lead on a pass from Kahmann to tight end Rylan Green and 58-yard run by Wright.

Neville got within 13-7 at the half with a touchdown just six second s remaining be for halftime.

Rebels quarterback Garrett Kahmann added 103 yards and a score.
