West Monroe grinds down Evangel, 23-7
West Monroe quarterback Lane Little rushed for two touchdowns and the Rebel defense forced a safety, two turnovers and five sacks in a 23-7 route ot Evangel Christian Friday night on Don Shows Field at Rebel Stadium.
Rebels fullback Cayden Pierce had a rushing touchdown and running back Derome Williams added to a rushing attack that totaled over 200 yards on the night.
After Evangel took an early 7-0 lead, West Monroe began to wear down the Eagles with their power running game and the resulting 23 unanswered points.
West Monroe takes a short trip across the Ouachita River next Friday to battle lomg time rival Neville at 7 p.m.
