Cayden Pierce rushed for two touchdowns and West Monroe scored on defense and special teams in a 34-0 District 2-5A win over West Ouachita Friday night at Don Shows Field at Rebel Stadium.

West Ouachita made its first appearance at Rebel Stadium in 21 years, and things did not get off to a good start for the Chiefs. After a opening drive punt, West Monroe took the ball and scored quickly on a short run by Pierce.

Defensive back Peyton Todd may have had the biggest momentum play of the half with a 74 yard interception return for a touchdown to put the Rebels up 13-0 in the first quarter.

West Ouachita later got inside the one-yard line before the Rebel defense forced a turnover on downs.

The special teams got in on the act just before halftime when AJ Fencroy returned a punt 70 yards for a Rebel touchdown.

West Monroe travels to Ouachita next week while West Ouachita hosts Pineville.
