West Jefferson at East Jefferson football to air live Thursday night on NASH ICON 106.1FM

This Thursday night, the West Jefferson Buccaneers will travel to Joe Yenni Stadium to take on the East Jefferson Warriors in a District 8-5A football game that will be broadcast live on NASH ICON 106.1 FM and at NASHFM1061.com.

The Buccaneers (3-4, 1-1 in District 8-5A) are looking to rebound from an 18-14 loss to John Ehret while East Jefferson (3-3, 0-2) is looking to stop a two-game district losing streak in the debut of interim head coach Ashton Duhe.

The parish rivals are battling for playoff spots in Division I Select. West Jeff (No. 27) and East Jeff (No. 25) are just on the outside of the current power ratings for the 24-team postseason bracket with three regular season games remaining.

The radio coverage will begin at 6:15 p.m. with kickoff at 6:30 p.m.

The voice of the West Jefferson Buccaneers, Johnny Marchese, will call the game while Ernie Waites will provide analysis.
