Wayne Holly leave Tulane

A national search for the program’s next head coach will begin immediately

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University head coach Wayne Holly announced his resignation today from the Green Wave beach volleyball program.

“I would like to thank Tulane University for its support for the past six years,” Holly said. “I truly enjoyed my time as head coach and I look forward to following the program for years to come.”

Over the past six seasons, Holly guided the Green Wave to a 109-77 record. In each of his six seasons as head coach, Holly directed the Green Wave to nationally ranked status.

“I would like to wish coach Holly the very best moving forward and thank him for his commitment to Tulane Athletics,” Tulane Director of Athletics Troy Dannen said. “We look forward to beach volleyball becoming one of the top programs in the country.”

The department will move forward immediately with a national search to identify the program’s next head coach.
