Warren Easton’s Ashaad Clayton named Metro Prep Player of the Week
Warren Easton junior running back Ashaad Clayton is the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl/Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club, CrescentCitySports.com, WGSO 990 AM and Friday Night Football Prep Player of the Week for week 14 of the prep football season.
Clayton rushed 14 times for 265 yards and three touchdowns as No. 2 Warren Easton drilled previously unbeaten and No. 6 Leesville 54-14 in the Class 4A state semifinals.
Coached by Jerry Phillips, Clayton will be honored at the year-end meeting of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Rock’n’Bowl, 3016 South Carrollton Avenue in New Orleans.
The Quarterback Club meets weekly each Tuesday at noon at Rock’n’Bowl with speakers weekly on the New Orleans Saints, LSU, Tulane and prep football, along with wild card speakers.
