Fred Robertson

Warren Easton running back Fred Robertson has been selected as the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl Prep Player of the Week for the metro New Orleans area for week 10 by the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club, Crescent City Sports, NASH ICON 106.1 FM and WGNO/WNOL Friday Night Football.

A junior, Robertson rushed 21 times or 320 yards and three touchdowns and caught a pass for five yards in a 59-38 victory over McDonogh 35 to win the District 11-4A championship.

Robertson is coached by Jerry Phillips.

“Fred has been everything for us,” Phillips said. “We wouldn’t be where we are without him. He is a playmaker and a team-first guy who is willing to do whatever it takes. We have said all season we will ride him until the wheels fall off and he wants that.”

Sponsored by the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, Robertson will be honored at the year-end meeting of the Greater New Orleans Quarterback Club on Tuesday, December 13 at The Cannery in New Orleans.
