Volleyball: Riverdale, McGehee roll to victories Wednesday

Area Prep Volleyball Report for Thursday, Oct. 28

Riverdale won its fourth straight match, downing McMain 25-12, 25-12, 25-15 at home in a District 7-II match Wednesday.

Maelyn Forestier led the way with nine kills, three aces and three digs, Morgan Williams had 14 assists, five digs and two aces, Kyrie Hunter had 9 kills and two blocks and Isabelle Cox added six digs.

The Rebels (13-7, 3-1) conclude their regular season at Kenner Discovery today at 5 p.m. while the Mustangs (6-11, 0-5) will host St. Katharine Drexel today at 4:30 p.m.

McGehee continued its outstanding season with a 25-20, 25-12, 9-25, 25-15 victory over Haynes Academy.

Senior Jordan Felix led the Hawks with 21 kills, 10 assists and three blocks. Virginia Voitier led the Yellow Jackets with nine kills.

McGehee (22-5) concludes its regular season against De La Salle at home today at 5:30 p.m. while Haynes (14-12) is done with its regular season.
