Ponchatoula served as anything but a generous host for its own tournament Saturday.

While the Green Wave were no doubt gracious, they were relentless on the court, posting three wins in as many matches.

Ponchatoula whipped Salmen 25-5, 25-21, defeated district rival Hammond 26-24, 25-20 and outlasted Springfield 25-18, 19-25, 15-13.

The Green Wave (7-1) have now won four straight matches and will return to action Monday at Riverside at 5:30 p.m.
