Volleyball: Lakeshore, Pope John Paul II, Mandeville win Thursday to remain unbeaten

Area Prep Volleyball Report for Friday, Sept. 13

Three teams from the north shore stayed unblemished Thursday.

Lakeshore swept a pair of matches at the Dutchtown Tournament, downing Parkview Baptist 25-17, 21-25, 15-8 and beating West Feliciana 25-5, 25-17 to remain unbeaten.

In the hard-earned win over Parkview Baptist, Sarah Tucker had nine kills, 16 digs, two aces, two assists and two blocks while Emily Breaux had seven kills, nine digs and an assist for the Titans (5-0).

Traditional power Pope John Paul II also remained unbeaten, sweeping a pair of matches in the H.L. Bourgeois. The 5-0 Jaguars prevailed 25-21, 25-19 over Northshore and downed South Terrebonne 25-13, 25-10.

In New Orleans, Mandeville stayed unbeaten with a 27-25, 16-25, 31-29, 25-20 victory over Dominican.

Taylor Pierce led the way for the Skippers (4-0) with 21 kills and 27 digs. Gabby Oos delivered 19 kills and Ashlynn Anderson finished with 44 assists for Mandeville. Elizabeth Hardouin paced Dominican (2-2) with 11 kills.
