Volleyball: Haynes continues win streak, outlasting Riverside Academy

Prep Volleyball Report for Wednesday, Sept. 19

It was a long match but in the end, Haynes prevailed over Riverside Academy in five tough sets 25-21, 21-25, 25-16, 25-27, 15-11 in Metairie. It was the ninth consecutive victory for the Yellow Jackets, whose only loss of the season was in its second match of the season against Belle Chasse.

Alexa Poche had 12 kills and six aces to pace Haynes (10-1) while Hannan Horaist produced 35 digs and Allie Catalano had 25 assists.

Haynes goes for 10 straight this evening at home at 5:30 p.m. against St. Charles Catholic while the Lady Rebels (2-12) return to action Thursday at St. James at 5:30 p.m.
