Volleyball: Hannan hands Parkview Baptist first loss; Crescent City Christian, AOL win Monday

Area Prep Volleyball Report for Tuesday, Sept. 12

Make it six straight wins for Archbishop Hannan.

In a battle of highly ranked teams, the Hawks scored an extremely impressive 25-18, 25-10, 25-14 victory over Parkview Baptist in Baton Rouge Monday, handing the Eagles their first loss.

Sophia Bonnafee had 18 kills and two aces, Mia Philips had eight kills and
Bailey Bevolo had six kills. Reese Foster added four kills. Sarah Kirsch
dished up 33 assists and served five aces. Miranda Holincheck had 16 digs
and two aces, Alyna Durey had five digs. Avery Lewis had four digs.

Hannan (9-1) returns to action today, hosting Dunham at 5:30 p.m. The Eagles
(8-1) will play at Dutchtown Thursday at 6 p.m.

Crescent City Christian scored a huge, thrilling win over Academy of the
Sacred Heart in five sets, winning 25-16, 8-25, 25-19, 16-25, 15-11 in

Annabelle Rouquette had 14 kills, seven digs and served three aces, Ja’Kaira Jimcolly had six kills, three blocks and two digs and Ja’Kayla Jimcolly contributed four kills and five blocks. Jensen Heaphy had 26 assists and three digs and Madison Foster finished with 16 digs and two aces.

The Pioneers (4-2) won their third straight match and will make the short
trek to St. Martin’s Episcopal today at 5:30 p.m.

The Cardinals (8-3) will host Thomas Jefferson Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

Make it four straight wins for Academy of Our Lady.

The Penguins handled H.L. Bourgeois 25-10, 25-20, 25-15.

Rehanna Franklin had 11 kills while Jaci Carmadelle had 11 kills and eight
digs. Abby Cao had 26 assists and Cassidy Jones finished with three blocks.

Academy of Our Lady (8-3) will travel to Central Lafourche today at 4 p.m.
while the Braves (5-6) will play at Morgan City next Tuesday.
