Academy of Our Lady won its third straight match, handling Central Lafourche 25-19, 25-12, 25-17 at home in Marrero Monday afternoon. The Penguins (4-1) return to action Wednesday at McGehee at 4:30 p.m.

St. Scholastica rebounded from its first loss of the season to Mandeville with a 25-18, 25-14, 25-7 win over Covington at home. The Doves (3-1) host Academy of the Sacred Heart of New Orleans this afternoon at 4:30 p.m.

After opening the season with five straight losses, Higgins has won two straight after defeating John F. Kennedy 25-12, 25-18, 25-17 Monday. The Hurricanes host St. Katharine Drexel today at 5:30 p.m.

Among the other top matches today, Dominican (5-2) travels to John Curtis Christian (4-2) at 6 p.m.
