Southern Jaguars Baseball

Southern University will make the program’s ninth overall NCAA Baseball Championship appearance and first NCAA Baseball Regional since 2009 when the Jaguars head to the Starkville Regional as a 4-seed and face host Mississippi State on Friday, May 31st at 12 p.m. central time.

The game will air live on the SEC Network and stream online on the ESPN app and ESPN3.

The NCAA revealed the entire field of 64 teams including the teams destined for the Starkville Regional during an hour-long selection show broadcast live on ESPNU.

Southern (32-22) has amassed a 3-16 tournament record, holding the distinction of being the first HBCU to win in the postseason after stunning top seed Cal-State Fullerton 1-0 in 1987.

The Jaguars are making their first trip to a tournament Regional in the state of Mississippi for the first time since the 2003 team led by Golden Spikes award winner Rickie Week stunned Southern Miss 5-3 as a 3-seed in the opening game of the Hattiesburg Regional.

Mississippi State released ticket information on their Athletic website HailState.com Sunday evening.

Reserved tickets for the NCAA Starkville Regional will go on sale to Bulldog Club Members via www.hailstate.com/tickets and over the phone on Tuesday, May 28th at 8:30 a.m. A limited number of Rooftop passes will be available to Bulldog Club Members as well.

Also, on sale at that time will be the standing room only and grass berm areas.

All-Session ticket booklet for reserved chairbacks are $120, with a limit of six (6) per account, while SRO/GA areas will be $60. All-Session Rooftop passes will be $150 and have a four (4) ticket limit.

Season Ticket holders who pre-ordered tickets for the NCAA Starkville Regional will be charged for their pre-order tickets on Monday May 27th. Tickets will then be emailed out to those buyers Monday afternoon.

The MSU ticket office will be closed Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day but will reopen at 8am on Tuesday, May 28th. To purchase tickets or more information contact the ticket office at 1-888-GO-DAWGS.

Single-game ticket information will be available starting Friday morning May 31st at 8 a.m. online or beginning at 9 a.m. at Dudy Noble Field Right field box office.
