UNO’s Tim Duncan: #100Meetings100Days – Week Four

NEW ORLEANS – The first month of the Tim Duncan era has come to a close and the University of New Orleans Director of Athletics concluded June with 10 meetings.

Meeting 17 – Kelisha Garrett
Duncan met with executive director of the New Orleans Regional Black Chamber of Commerce Kelisha Garrett and discussed creating a partnership between organizations.

Meeting 18 – Coach Duke Rouse
Duncan and legendary personal trainer Duke Rouse of The Duke Academy met about sports performance with today’s student-athletes.

Meeting 19 – Tom McCormick
A UNO alum and retired CFO of Lammico, Tom McCormick, Rene Ronquillo and Duncan discussed created community partnerships with businesses and churches.

Meeting 20 – Dinah Payne, J.D
A faculty member of the Athletics Advisory Council, Dinah Payne J.D strategized on how athletics can engage faculty/staff.

Meeting 21 – Trey Weaver & Dominick Giambrone
Trey Weaver and Dominick Giambrone of Crystal Clear Imaging discussed utilizing creative branding to inspire current and future student-athletes.

Meeting 22 – Mark Culotta
President and CEO of Pascal Architects Mark Culotta met with Duncan and associate athletic director Vince Granito on facility improvements for athletics.

Meeting 23 – Season Ticket Holders
Duncan had an early meeting Wednesday with past and current season ticket holders and discussed ways athletics can reconnect with faithful fans. The meeting included Tomy Acosta, Ray Calamari, Dr. Dennis McSeveney, Chuck Constanza and Glenn Scorsone.

Meeting 24 – Ochsner Sports Performance
Jason DeMelo, Beau Hains, Lance Lacoste and Jamie Ott of Ochsner Sports Performance visited the Human Performance Center, and the group and Duncan talked about enhancing the partnership and renovating the weight room.

Meeting 25 – Tiffany Carter and Laura Blackman
Duncan met with Tiffany Carter and Laura Blackman, the director and deputy director, respectively, of procurement for the Port of New Orleans on partnering on sponsorship and advertising opportunities.

Meeting 26 – Sodexo
Duncan and Jason Veillon met with Sodexo and discussed the beautification of the athletics grounds and facilities to impress student-athletes, recruits and fans.
