UNO women’s basketball adds game at LSU, announces schedule changes

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers women’s basketball team has added a game against another local opponent. The Privateers will now travel to Baton Rouge to face the LSU Tigers on Dec. 18 at 12 p.m.

LSU represents the fourth in-state non-conference opponent on the Privateers’ schedule this season along with Xavier, Louisiana and Grambling. This will be the third time the Privateers have played the Tigers in Coach Keeshawn Davenport’s tenure.

This will also be the fourth consecutive meeting between the two sides in Baton Rouge. The Privateers and Tigers last played against each other in November 2019.

OTHER NON-CONFERENCE SHIFTS
The Privateers’ game against Auburn has a date change and will now be played on Dec. 12. The scheduled contest against Jacksonville State has now moved to Dec. 14 and will be played on the road.

Auburn is one of two SEC opponents on the schedule along with Ole Miss. The Privateers’ matchup against Jacksonville State will be the fourth time in the last six meetings the sides are meeting in Alabama.

The Privateers are now scheduled to play Grambling at 2 p.m. when the teams hook up on Dec. 29.

The season starts on Nov. 6 with Homecoming and an exhibition game against West Alabama. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
