MONROE, La. – Thanks to its 87-77 victory over Kent State in the first round of the 2019 CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament, ULM (19-15) has earned a second-round bye after becoming one of the top-three seeded teams in the remaining field.

In addition, the Warhawks will play host to a CIT quarterfinal game in Fant-Ewing Coliseum mid-to-late next week (March 27-31), with the opponent and date to be determined.

The Warhawks are 14-2 in Fant-Ewing Coliseum this season while averaging better than 85 points per game. ULM has trailed for just 86:59 out of a possible 640 minutes at home this season.

The 14 home wins are tied for the second most in Fant-Ewing Coliseum history (sixth time since the facility opened prior to the 1971-72 season). The Warhawks posted a single-season record 15 home-court victories in 1978-79 (15-1).

“The atmosphere was absolutely electric for the first-round game against Kent State,” ULM head coach Keith Richard said. “The crowd really carried us during that decisive second-half run.

“Our players are thrilled with being provided an opportunity to play a quarterfinal game at home. I know they’d love to see a full house. Our crowd has been a difference maker all season long, and our team is so appreciative of the support from both our student body and local communities.”

Tickets for ULM’s upcoming CIT quarterfinal game are priced at $25 for courtside, $12 for reserved seats, $10 for faculty/staff reserved seats, $8 for general admission and $5 for ULM students and youth (18 and under). CIT quarterfinal tickets will go on sale Sunday, March 24 at noon on ULMWarhawks.com.
