ULM drops heartbreak at Florida State in OT, 45-44

Timely takeaways led to a big turnaround for ULM on Saturday at Doak Campbell Stadium. The Warhawks wiped away a three-touchdown deficit to force overtime but a missed extra point attempt ended the upset bid at Florida State.

The Seminoles took the ball first in overtime and went up 45-38 on a 4-yard touchdown run by Cam Akers, who led the rushing attack for Florida State (1-1) with 193 yards on 36 carries and two scores.

ULM quarterback Caleb Evans matched the touchdown with a 5-yard touchdown run but the PAT attempt by Jacob Meeks was wide right, ending the game in heartbreaking fashion. Read more here.
