U.S. National Team to play exhibition games at Lamson Park
Team USA and Scrap Yard Fast Pitch to hold three-game series July 23-25
LAFAYETTE – Softball enthusiasts in and around the Acadiana area are invited to experience the sport at its highest level, and catch a glimpse of some of the best in the world in one of the most picturesque environments in the nation, when Team USA and Scrap Yard Fast Pitch compete in a series of exhibitions set for July 23-25 at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park.
Past Olympic medalists, numerous professional softball athletes and rising stars are set the take the field when the USA Softball Women’s National Team and Scrap Yard compete at the home of the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns.
The two teams are scheduled to compete in three single games, with first pitch each night set for 7 p.m.
Ticket booklets are currently on sale through Account Manager at RaginCajuns.com.
The general public can begin purchasing individual game tickets on Wednesday, July 17.

Tickets can be purchased by calling (800) 745-3000, online at TicketMaster.com (search Lamson Park) or by visiting the Cajundome Box Office in-person Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Team USA, champions of the recently held USA Softball International Cup, features Olympic medalists Monica Abbot and Cat Osterman, as well as two-time USA Softball National Player of the Year Rachel Garcia (UCLA). A complete roster can be found here.
Scrap Yard Fast Pitch, an independently-run professional team based in Houston, features veteran professionals Cheridan Hawkins (Oregon) and Kasey Cooper (Auburn) along with recently signed Oklahoma State standout Sam Show. A complete roster can be found here.
