RUSTON, La. – Conference USA officials announced on Tuesday that Louisiana Tech will have a pair of football games moved to Friday night this fall, including one home contest.

Louisiana Tech will host FIU for the Conference USA opener on Friday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. CT at Joe Aillet Stadium.

“We know this is a non-traditional date, but we are excited about the chance to be on national television,” said LA Tech Director of Athletics Tommy McClelland. “We have already started working with our local community to make this an exciting night. We will work diligently with our student body and our fan base to provide plenty of reasons for us to have a great crowd at home on a Friday night.”

Later in the season, Louisiana Tech will travel to Huntington, West Virginia, on Friday, Nov. 15 to face off against Marshall at 6 p.m. CT.

The changes all involve games moving from Saturday to Friday night as part of C-USA’s television agreements. The broadcast network and other details for these games will be released at a later date.

Fans can purchase season tickets online at LATechSports.com/tickets or by calling the LA Tech Ticket Office at 318-257-3631. The renewal deadline for season tickets is set for June 1, 2019.
