The 6-foot-5 guard from Lithonia, Georgia, transferred to Tulane last offseason after playing two seasons at the University of Georgia. He was the Green Wave’s leading scorer in 2019-20, averaging 15.9 points per game. He earned American Athletic Conference player of the week honors in late February after leading Tulane to victories over SMU and UCF.
Non-seniors have until April 26 to enter the NBA Draft and, if the schedule holds amid the coronavirus pandemic, until June 3 to withdraw their names from the draft pool to retain their eligibility.
If Hightower returns to Tulane, he will have one year of eligibility remaining.
