NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women’s basketball team has added Chiara Grattini to the class of 2021. She will join Jerkaila Jordan and McKenzi Carter coming in for the Green Wave this season.

“We are excited to welcome Chiara to New Orleans,” Tulane head coach Lisa Stockton said. “She brings a wealth of international experience against high level competition. Chiara is a great playmaker with three point range.”

Grattini played for Reyer Venezia and Giants Marghera in the 2019-20 season.

She helped Reyer Venezia win the U18 and U20 Italian National Championship in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Grattini also placed third at the 3-on-3 Italian U18 Championship.

The combo guard helped lead Rosa Pordenone to the 2017 Italian National Championship. She then led Reyer Venezia to a second place finish at the 2018 U18 National Championship.

The Turin, Italy, native earned a spot on the U16 Italian National Team in 2017 and led them to the European Youth Olympics Festival. She scored her tournament high of 17 points against Lithuania.

Grattini led Libertas Moncalieri to a third place finish in the 2015 Italian National Championship. She earned the Most Improved Player award in the Piedmont Region in the 2016 season. Grattini finished the U16 Italian Championship averaging 16.6 points per game.

The Green Wave will begin the 2020-21 season in November.
