Tulane Athletics announced Friday morning that its December 21 home game against the University of New Orleans has been cancelled due to ongoing COVID-19 protocols.

UNO expressed via an official athletics release that “there is hope that a rescheduled date can be agreed upon to make up the game later this season.”

The previously schedule game was supposed to be the first between Privateers and Green Wave since late Novemeber 2016 at Lakefront Arena when UNO took a 74-59 win.

Tulane’s next game is scheduled for Dec. 29 at home against Memphis to open conference play. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

UNO will next play December 28 on the road against Ohio State.
