Jaylen Forbes

What’s the biggest thing you are you trying to accomplish to get better for next season?
“The biggest thing I’m trying to improve on this summer is to get better at my ball-handling and just working on being consistent. At the end of the day, we’re really just trying to focus on winning more this year so we can turn this program around.”

Do you feel good about the progress the team has made this summer?
“I feel like we have made a lot of progress this summer. Everybody really wants to work and win. We are all competing for each other and no one is being selfish and I think that is a good thing.”

How has Coach Hunter helped you progress as a basketball player?
“He’s been a big time help. Coming to Tulane has really made me love playing basketball again.”

What’s the biggest thing you learned about the team?
“We were a very young team last year, but we were able to hang tough with a lot of the top teams in the conference, so that’s a good sign. Last year gave us a lot of experience and that will play a big time roll heading into this year.”

What are you looking forward to this most this year?
“Having fans back in the gym is going to be a great feeling. I really missed not having fans in the stands.”

What did you like the most about your first year at Tulane?
“I really just liked being around my teammates and having an opportunity to compete. Some teams didn’t even have a chance to play this year, so I was just happy to get out there on the court.”
