The Green Wave staff has closed strong on a number of targets for the 2019 class, with early signing day arriving this Wednesday.

A pair of players who made recent stops at Willow Street include 3 star safety Tyrone Lewis (6-0, 185) from Hammond High and Roger Yarde (6-1, 205), listed as an athlete from Sebring, Florida.

Lewis, who visited last weekend, has Kansas State (planned visit Dec. 1st), Iowa State, Missouri and Utah, along with Tulane as his top five. Utah is putting on a strong push as well.

Yarde lists Tulane, USF and West Virginia as his favorites.

Spring practice will sort out a few things for Tulane, but there will be key losses on the offensive line. Dominique Briggs, John Leglue and Noah Fisher are out of eligibility.

Brown University grad transfer Christian Montano (6-4, 315) will get a long look at center, possibly allowing current starter Corey Dublin, a Jesuit product and two-year starter for the Wave, to return to guard.
