The Ole Miss Rebels now have a national championship in baseball.

To add to their superb summer, they now have added Tulane’s best hitter from last season.

Former Green Wave outfielder Ethan Groff announced Sunday afternoon his intentions to transfer to the SEC program.

In his third college season, Groff enjoyed a breakout campaign at the plate, hitting .404 with a .709 slugging percentage, nine home runs, an American Athletic Conference leading 15 doubles and 35 RBI in 41 games. A broken thumb suffered against Central Florida on April 30 ended the Orlando native’s season prematurely.

The Green Wave has not fared well in the transfer portal lately, losing catcher Bennett Lee and pitcher Michael Massey to Wake Forest, pitcher Grant Siegel to West Virginia and closer Zach DeVito to Georgia.

Tulane did receive good news this weekend with the commitment of 2022 two-way talent Corbin Ybarra out of IMG Academy. The northern California native was previously a Washington State commitment.
