The Tulane men’s basketball team appears to be on the verge of adding a sought-after recruit.

On his Twitter account, Green Wave head coach Mike Dunleavy retweeted news that 6-foot-8 Montverde Academy (Florida) power forward Kevin Zhang committed to the Green Wave on Wednesday. Zhang then confirmed his commitment on his own twitter account late Wednesday night.

Nothing is official until the Wave receives his national letter of intent, but if Zhang follows through, the Shenyang, China native would be the highest rated member of a three-man class. Tulane already has signed Chatham (Virginia) Hargrave Military Academy guard Connor Crabtree and Reno (Nevada) Galena High forward Moses Wood.
