Tulane men’s basketball players, staff ‘safe’ in Barcelona after terror attack
The traveling contingent from the Tulane’s men’s basketball including the team’s players and coaches are safe in Barcelona after a terrorist attack in the city Thursday, according to Green Wave athletic director Troy Dannen.

A van drove off-road into a crowd in Barcelona on Thursday afternoon. Early reports indicate 13 deaths and at least 100 injuries from the event in the city’s Las Ramblas district.
Tulane’s men’s basketball squad is in the Spanish city as part of their exhibition tour which included four games in Barcelona. The Green Wave, unbeaten on the tour so far, is scheduled to play their final game on Friday against the Mataro All-Stars.
