Tulane’s annual spring football game set for Saturday morning

Spring Game Saturday Set for April 13, a full day of Tulane Athletics at Yulman Stadium

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane Athletics will play host to an exciting day of events during Spring Game Saturday on April 13. The day will be highlighted by the Green Wave football team’s annual Spring Game, the baseball team’s American Athletic Conference matchup with USF and volleyball’s final spring tournament of the year.

The Tulane football team will take the field at 10 a.m. for the start of the 2019 Green and White game. The gates will open at 9:30 a.m. and admission to the game is free. Fans should enter the stadium through Gate B.

Fans can park in the Diboll Garage for free until 11 a.m.

At 11 a.m., Tulane Athletics will play host to the Party on the Plaza which will feature a live musical performance from Jasper Smitty as well as food tasting from Nole Restaurant, Copelands and Truly. Fans can also take part in the inflatable games that will be available on the plaza.

Green Wave Athletics will welcome sponsorship partners from Franco’s Gym and Tulane ROTC.

In addition, fans will have the opportunity to purchase $5 dollar baseball tickets for the Green Wave’s afternoon matchup against USF.

Tulane’s matchup with USF will feature a weekend-long recognition of the 1979 team, which is celebrating its 40th-year anniversary. Tulane’s 1979 team was the first team in program history to earn a postseason berth into the NCAA Baseball Championship.

Tulane women’s volleyball also will be in action this Saturday as it takes part in its final spring tournament of the year. The Green Wave will take on Southeastern, Louisiana Tech and Northwestern State inside Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse. Admission to the tournament is free.

In addition, Tulane also will hold the second day of its Spring Sale from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. inside the Wilson Center. Click here for more details on the Spring Sale.

9:30 a.m. – Gates Open for the Spring Game (Yulman Stadium)

10 a.m. – Green White Game (Yulman Stadium)

10 a.m. – Volleyball spring scrimmage vs. Southeastern (Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse)

11 a.m. – Day two of the Spring Sale (James W. Wilson Center)

11 a.m. – Party of the Plaza (Yulman Stadium Plaza)

12:30 p.m. – Volleyball spring scrimmage vs. Louisiana Tech (Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse)

2 p.m. – Tulane vs. USF (Greer Field at Turchin Stadium)

3:45 p.m. – Volleyball spring scrimmage vs. Northwestern State (Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse)
