Tulane announces 2019 Fall Ball schedule

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Just a few months away from the start of the new campaign, the Tulane baseball team has announced its fall practice dates for October and November, featuring team intersquad competitions, a pair of exhibitions and the annual Fall Ball World Series closing practice in late November.

“What an exciting time of the year! Although we have been developing our skills in group settings prior to today, this is an opportunity for us to come together as a TEAM and begin laying the foundation for what we want the upcoming season to replicate,” fourth-year head coach Travis Jewett said. “Our approach to the fundamentals and attention to detail during this time, as well as the games that we will play vs. outside competition and against ourselves, will give us the necessary tools for producing a highly trained TEAM leading into the 2020 season!”

Tulane will officially begin its fall preparations on Friday, October 25 as all fall exhibitions at home are free and open to the public. The group will use their intersquad competitions to prepare for the team’s first exhibition date against Louisiana-Lafayette on Sunday, November 3 at Cajun Field.

Six days later, the Green Wave will host the South Alabama Jaguars on Saturday, November 9 at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.

The Green Wave will be split up into two sides for the five-game Fall Ball World Series which starts on Saturday, November 16. The team will reconvene on Sunday, November 17 for game two, with games three, four and five taking place on November 20, 22 and 24, respectively. The final game of the series will also conclude fall workouts for 2019.
